Ridiculously Enthusiastic Monday

Postby La » Mon Nov 23, 2015 8:07 am

Ridiculously enthusiastic about my swim this morning! We did two 400m races and I was really happy with my times. :D

Just got home from a hot hatha flow class. Day off so on my way to do my Christmas shopping, including for my Maniac Secret Santa recipient!

10k done! longest run since August! this makes me happy. :)

my ankle is definitely getting stronger, but still not 100% so I've been sticking to road/gravel/gentle dirt... haven't done anything even remotely technical yet.

8K for me after work. I think I'll have to start taking my head lamp with me, as it goes from light to dark very quickly once it gets close to 5:00 and this can make for some interesting times on the trails when returning home. Case in point, I caught my foot on a protruding root tonight. Luckily, I was able to recover enough to transform it into a beautiful forward somersault

Thanks Habs4ever. Yeah I'm fine, just a banged up knee and elbow this morning. No biggie :)

I've been pondering a head lamp myself, and I'm on the canal path, not trails! There are some dark sections where I think I'll miss a slippery puddle.

I can totally see in coming in handy along the canal. I've been spooked there a few times down by Dow's Lake where the trail sort of ducks down from the main street level and it gets pretty dark. Especially this time of year, to be able to see possible wet/icy patches I think it's definitely worth it.

I have a Petzl Tikka RXP and it works very well. It's also super comfy and doesn't bounce around at all. I hardly notice it.
