Nice 11K run this morning with the group. The only problem part was the icy parking lot at the start.

I ran!

As I mentioned in the journal section, I needed to get over the post-seizure anxiety which historically has taken me a couple of weeks, and it had been two weeks so I decided I *needed* to get out to the MEC trail race today. It was the first of the trail race series, and I was up for the 10k.

I actually checked in at the med tent beforehand and gave them the heads-up. I think it made me feel better more than anything but they also thanked me for letting them know.

Then headed out. It was long... 11km by strava, longer by garmin. 403m of elevation.

my new meds make me breathless, even when I'm not running, so that was tough. I had a hard time breathing on the climbs (partly from the meds and partly from lack of fitness, I'm sure). Overall though it wasn't bad. I was slow, as expected, but I wasn't last.

1:37 for 11km with good elevation was right around where I expected to be, so I'm happy with that. :)

23k today, pretty hilly route, I don't think this will be one of our regular routes now that the gals know how many hills there are at the end.

I had to run for the train directly after the run to get to dragon boat practice. Great day no rain and even some sunshine, yay!!
