How about:

The Running Cult

Everyone is appearing to referring/recruiting members to this Board now .... Sounds more like a pyramid scheme ....

When do we start contributing 20% of our income to the Leader :?: ... ( I mean Guru) ....

oooh, I get 20%? my paypal address is... just kidding.

I like the name but I think we may have problems with the negative connotations of the word "cult".

Just throwing out more ideas...

What about something with Dynamic in it...that sounds efficient and fast hehe...

What about zoom....or a fast animal, or in contrast, a slow one..

ok peeps. thanks everyone for all your ideas!

i think we're going to go with runstrong.org. it's positive, short, simple, doesn't alienate anyone, doesn't involve coffee mugs, etc, etc.

Aw, really?

I was just starting to feel a vibe about Jacob's 'United" ideas. We could have a European soccer type logo.

Oh well, as Lisa just said: She spent hours and hours making this site, she can call it anything she wants.

sorry, I did consider your previous objection, but I still think this is the best option and it has lots of support (well as much as one can have with only 25 members voting, lol). I thought about the United ideas but the word "united" has a cold feeling for me... maybe that's just me... for marketing purposes we want something warmer.

anyway, it's not set in stone yet as I forgot to bring my credit card to work and can't register the domain without my card, lol. So we have all day to discuss it further. I just really want to get it decided today because the domains are on sale this week.

Remember, if we go with the runStrong thing it's only going to prolong my Lance rants (and even I get tired of myself sometimes)

Come on, it's only winning by one vote! I feel like a character in a Steve Guttenberg movie, who has to find schemes to keep Holly away from her credit card until I can convince the panel!

it's winning by one vote, but you are the only person so far who has actually objected. if more people speak up with objections, maybe i'll reconsider ;)

or if you come up with a killer idea instead... :)

I like runStrong better than the cafe one because it has a more athletic, tough-ass feel. Plus runnerscafe makes me think of old ladies in mint green jogging suits shuffling along and then getting coffee. Not that there's anything wrong with that... :) but I would rather have the image of strength than... frappucinos.
I do like "Unitedwerun" (we could for sure co-opt a cool soccer logo and make it our own) but as Dave said I said, Holly- go nuts! Call us whatever you want after putting so much effort in.
