yeah I've had that a few times. My internet (wi-fi) at home is spotty with the upgrade to Optik tv so I just figured it was that.

I have gotten the message before when my wifi or cellular signal has gone out.

But now it's just not coming back at all

I just read in the daily thread about the over-night hacking-- I suspect it's related?

I assume so... not that the hackers did anything specifically, but I think that access hasn't been reset after the forum was shut down.

Anyone? Who knows how this can be fixed? I assume only admins can do it.

Sorry-- in my little mind I was assuming that this just required just one little "activate" thing on the part of the admins (something that would need to be reset after the forum was shut down last night). I know the un-hacking work took much longer, but I didn't realize there was something to actually fix with the tapatalk app.

I don't actually know if there's anything to fix or not... haven't had time to look at it. Maybe tomorrow.

I miss it too. Not sure what the problem is.

Geez guys, I know this isn't your day job but I get better communication out of my 9 year old son at dinner (and that's not a hell of a lot).

Jen, since there is this vacuum of information, I'm going to make up stories. I would bet that there is concern that tapatalk can caused a security breach. If I had just been hacked, I'm sure I would be looking at all exposures. I was looking online and there was some talk of tapatalk having security issues but they had been fixed but some forum owners have chosen not to reactivate.

Answering for just myself, I'm sorry, I have no tech abilities and cannot even fathom where to start here, or if it's even something we can look at. So, as far as I'm concerned, I'll leave it up to those who can answer you, and if that means you can't surf RM from your iPhone from bed for a few days, then so be it. As you've already stated, this isn't their day job, or their night "job". Please remember that it's volunteer, and we do the best we can.

I'm not sure what communication you're expecting; I already said above that I'll look at it when I have time. It's not an essential service.

Wow.. is it really that important to have RM on your iPhone to start being a bit nasty?

Sorry, but I don't see the urgency on something like this when the people who maintain it do it

1: without pay
2: as a hobby/gift of time to the "friendly" RM members ;)
3: WITHOUT PAY!

Sorry.. just my .02 (which I will gladly donate to the RM pot.. lol)

Well, a few of us have actually paid for the Tapatalk app, and we have gotten a bit spoiled because it's so nice to use. At least one person bought it right before the outage. We'd just like to know whether it's going to come back or not-- at this point we can't tell other than to keep trying to log on (which I've given up on...) I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it would only be good for a limited time.. but that's the risk with any iPhone app I guess.

No urgency, but it would just be nice to know whether this is actually a problem that's going to take a long time to fix, or whether it's just that no one has gotten around to it. I would do it if I knew how. :)

I'm still waiting for my chocolate from fixing the email notifications.

When I get chocolate, I'll get right on the tapatalk problem.
