Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!

I actually have enough mileage to log this month, sort of! My injury seems to finally be on the mend enough to let me run.

I've done about 30K in the last two weeks of June in 8 little runs (run/walks, actually), and July is looking a lot more promising. I've also done a lot of cross-training (mostly cycling and water-running), with at least a half-hour of aerobic activity 5-6 days/week, but will gradually replace some of those with more running.

A significant drop in this month's mileage. Busy weekends with travel didn't help. Meh, the travel was good. :)

I've been extremely unorthodox this month... thank goodness I don't post a journal here, I could just imagine the scoldings for huge swings in increased distances.

Getting back on track again plus getting the biking going again.

Run: 107km, YTD 808km
All sorts of other cross training... done too.
Chilly 1/2 - March 4
Montreal 1/2 - April 29
NCM 1/2 - May 27
Manitoba 1/2 - June 17
Army 1/2 - Sept

I did put 460K on the bike though :D and several swims too.

well, this was supposed to be a heavy training month. i logged 200k in the first 10 days, but then fell ill with a very strange still yet-to-be-identified illness. i was hospitalized for 4 days with a suspected blood clot in my lung.. now they aren't sure what is wrong with me..

anyway, 309.3k on the month in total. up to 2066.9k on the year.

only had a few swims this month for a total of 10k in the pool, netting me only 208k in the pool on the year so far, less than half as much swimming i had done last year at this point. oh well.

not really sure what the future will bring. this unidentified illness has me suffering from extreme shortness of breath and exhaustion.

my july 26 marathon in denmark may be off the table now..

Run: 162.1 km (easy peasy pace)
Yoga: 8:56:00
Bike: 24.6 km (1 time)
Strength: (1 time)

On June 1st I made a promise to myself to do at least 20 min of Yoga/day, 6 times/week. Done! I feel great and to my delight I have not needed to make any ART or RMT appointments all month (which is really good news because we no longer have any medical benefits).

Had a slow start to the month due to a lot of r&r for the achilles, and spent quite a bit of time with resistance training, core and stretching at the Club, as a result ...

Also, started walking a lunch with a colleague at the office, as active recovery, and not sure whether to start recording it or not, usually between 45-60 minutes (5 to 7K) ??:think:

Runs: 17 - 17:00:xx / 174K
