2009 Totals!

Postby ultraslacker » Wed Dec 30, 2009 4:32 pm

Since I don't plan to run tomorrow, I can post my year's totals now. :)

Jan - 90.5 miles
Feb - 73.5
Mar - 105.5
Apr - 106
May - 115
June - 67 (injury started)
July - 1.5
Aug - 11
Sept - 46
Oct - 95.5
Nov - 48.75 (second injury... drat**)
Dec - 5

Grand Total: 765.25 miles (1232km)

I confess that I'm a little embarassed at how low my mileage was pre-injury, considering that I ran 2 50k's in that time, lol.

Here's to an awesome, injury-free 2010! :)

**I thought I was being careful but the numbers show that I increased too quickly... from 46 miles in September to 95 in October? That's double. Not cool. It felt good at the time though... this time I will be more careful. We hope. ;)

I'll probably run close to 14km tomorrow so not sure yet, i'll just post what I have so far.

Jan-Mar:?
April: 208km
May: 88km
June: 163km
July: 209km
August: 196km
September: 174km
October: 105km
November: 121km
December: 139km so far ( so low because I had a rough beginning of the month with running)

I'm not very consistent. This year I will be a lot better, anyways my grade 9 year is my learning year for xc, so i'm not expecting to much for track.

1843.37km for the year so far. Not much, but as I said already, this year was a learning year. I lowered my PB in the 5km by a good 6 minutes in a little over a year, I think thats good. And i'm running faster than my 10km pb in daily easy runs.

I don't know if I logged everything I ran earlier in the year (May through July is sketchy), but all I have to go on is what's actually logged, so here it is for better or for worse:

December totals:
11 Runs
1 Marathon (PB)
107.7Kms (half of what I did last month! )
Time: 11:31
Pace: 6:25/km

Total for 2009: 1406.3km, 135 runs [updated]

Month by month: Kms (runs)
Jan: 97.2 (10, incl 1x9K race)
Feb: 120 (10)
Mar: 164 (13, incl 2 races: Chilly 1/2, ATB 30K)
Apr: 99 (13)
May: 66.6 (6) - [updated]
Jun: 45.6 (5) - [updated]
Jul: 61.7 (4, incl IMLP) - [updated]
Aug: 120.3 (13)
Sep: 117 (12, incl 1 sprint tri, 1x15K trail race, and 1 sprained ankle)
Oct: 187 (19, incl 1 race: Toad 25K)
Nov: 219.5K (19)

ETA: Wow, I was a little bit off. I found a bunch of runs in my Garmin data file that I never uploaded to itsmyrun.com. I've updated May's totals, but it'll take a while longer before I get June and July figured out. :P

I'm waiting to see Ian's, but he is probably just tacking on another 100km or so before year end... I'll end up in the low *3800's*, depending how far I run this afternoon. I think Ian hit that in September.

Sorry 'bout that, bit of a typo the first time! What is 1000km, more or less?

I went back through my journal to see if I could add it up, and it looks like my year went like this:

April - 75k
May - 58k (with 2 races and taper in there)
June - start of the marathon training 113k

August - highest month EVER - 230k
September - pre-marathon injury, taper, marathon 110k
October - recovery 62k

Grand total of 954k, 3 injuries, 1 marathon, 5 10k races, 1 5k PB, 1 adventure race, 1 relay race

With 330km in December, so,

this year I ran 3,694km.

This is over 300km per month, and it was my goal. I am pretty happy with my numbers.

Jan - 250.8
Feb - 235.6
Mar - 271.1
Apr - 276.6
May - 58.3 (then stress fracture :( )
June - 12.0
July - 49.3
Aug - 110.1
Sep - 147.2
Oct - 139.3
Nov - 122.6
Dec - 178.4
