Running in the Badlands

Postby RonPerth » Fri Nov 12, 2010 10:45 pm

Well one of my goals for this western trip was to go running in the badlands around Drumheller. Its not a race thing, but I wanted to go there, and to go running around. So on the Thanksgiving weekend, I had several days off, and drove down from Fort Mac. Had a great time, and finally got the pictures posted. The first days pictures start at the hoodoos just east of Drumheller. There is a little side road off the highway there. I just kept on going down that little road, and it got smaller and smaller, and branched on up to the top of the plateau. The next day I went out to the Royal Tyrrel Museum, to see the dino stuff, and did a run from there, down to the river, across it, and west a ways, then back to the museum. On the third day, I started again at the hoodoos, but just kept going back into the ravines without going up on to the plateau. I did make sure not to go exploring, just stayed on the 4-wheeler path along the little creek.

Pretty cool pics. I half expected to see a Tyrannosaurus Rex popping up over one of those hills.

 Sorry, couldn't resist. This pic is actually in the Badlands too.

Anyways, very cool.....I don't think I'll ever feel badass enough to want to run in the Badlands!
