Hello everyone,
I hope you're enjoying the summer-like weather outside.
We're doing another night run at Sulphur this Friday, May 18th at midnight.
The format is similar, but instead of short loops we are doing 2 big loops and maybe 1-2 short loops:
- Refuel from your trunk: bring your own junk
- Start/finish at the parking lot at the end of Martin Rd.
- 20km loops, aka the 'official race course'
- 8k short loops, aka 'Lollipop Loop' for those interested
COURSE:
The official Sulphur Springs 20k loop course
RUN START: Friday, May 18 at 12:00 midnight.
Please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested in running this Friday night, but please keep it reasonably quiet in case the conservation area people might not like us running around there at night.
Thanks and see you on Friday.

Is there a reason for starting that late? I guess I could just show up at 9:30-ish and do an early loop...

No reason, other than I'm working till 10:00 in the evening and then get home, grab my running gear and go.
Plan is to run 2 big loops (40k) and head home when the sun comes up.
You're welcome to do an early loop.
See you tomorrow.

Great night for a trail run. Guess I will have to settle for the treadmill on my lunch break!

We had a good run on friday night. The weather was great.
The trails are in the best shape I've seen them in a long time, though some sections are very dry and hard, but I guess that's better than ankle-deep mud. Even if we get a few showers next week, the trails are still going to be great and the swampy section is now fixed, so yay dry feet!
