Shall I assume you were at Sulpher? I headed out there yesterday, 20k loop took 3h 17min! It actually got harder as the temp warmed up and the snow turned into packing snow, the loose stuff early in the run was easier to run in. You do get weird reactions when you high step past people in snowshoes...
2015 Events:
Pick Your Poison 50km
Sulpher Springs 50 mile
North Face Blue Mountain 50 mile
Creemore Verticle Challenge 75km
Wasatch Front 100 Mile
Tour du Massif 50km
Somethin' else...

Well... It was supposed to be a snowshoe. I went up to the property near Singhampton to get ready for maple syrup, but forgot my snow shoes! The snow was thigh deep, so lifting my feet high enough to clear the snow was out of the question. Running in big boots was also not an option, so I pushed my legs forward through the snow. It was similar to walking in water, much effort for a snail pace. Did 3K in about 90 minutes. The sugar shack is ready!
It's a hill. Get over it!
