Mizuno Wave Riders 13

Postby VeloCarrie » Tue Mar 09, 2010 12:56 pm

Just got them in today! Ordered Sunday, arrived this morning from Road Runner Sports. The shoes, plus three 6 pack boxes of Gu for $120 (plus $13 duty). The shoes by themselves was over $150 at some stores here in Ottawa. So far, it seems the only difference between these and the WR 12s is the appearance. They feel great. I love it when my shoes don't change from upgrade to upgrade.

I'm interested to see how they feel when you run in them. I've tried them on twice and find them super narrow - my feet looked like they were exploding out the top & sides!!

I have 3 pairs of the Mizuno WR 12s and I don't have a problem with those, and I think the only changes to the 13s are cosmetics. Wow. Your feet must be wide. I have a very wide forefoot myself!

The only thing I don't like about the Mizuno WRs is that I have to have 3 pairs of shoes on rotation since they wear out quickly. My first pair of 12s bought last spring was just retired due to hip and knee pain after a long run. When I switched to a newer pair - no pain. Now that I'm back up to 3 pairs of road shoes, they should last longer.

I can't wait for the trails so I can get off the damn street!
