Have you guys tried a traction spike / screw? Which one would you recommend? I'm hoping to buy one tomorrow.

I have a pair of shoes ive put screws in the bottom.
I also use Due North Get-a-Grips from Costco. They are a lot more inexpensive than buying stuff from a specialty running store and work just as well (in my opinion).

Winter Traction
I have Stabilicers which I really like. We don't get much snow and ice in the city but I also use them regularly on snowy trails in the mountains. They cost about $20.

I don't think anything works for what we get here in the GTA in winter: Grainy snow, followed by slush. Actually, slush is just wet to run in, but that grainy snow is a b!tch because you can't get any traction at all. I refuse to run in that.
