Garmin 910 Question

Postby Annelizabeth » Sat Nov 28, 2015 12:01 pm

I have a 910 garmin and am wanting to use it with a bike trainer this winter, however when I look at accessories on the garmin website it appears that the speed/ cadence sensors only go with the edge/vector series. What do I need to do this... apart form a power meter.

Garmin 910 Question

There are definitely garmin speed/cadence sensors that you can pair with the Garmin 910xt. I have the same watch - I don't have the speed/cadence sensor so I don't know the exact models- but I looked into it at one point - a friend does and I can ask him later if you still can't figure it out.

You need one that pairs with the watch via ANT+.

I honestly never had luck with the speed/cadence sensors from garmin. Maybe it worked once. I'd maybe consider another ant+ brand.

Doesn't the 910 give you some power readings?

Not unless you have a power meter.
