First Half in 4 Weeks, now Groin Injury

Postby LyndaJ » Thu Oct 02, 2014 8:48 pm

I have had a groin injury for 2 weeks. I still ran 16k last Saturday and it wasnt bad, but has gotten worse in the last couple of days. Thinking of skipping my 16k run on Saturday. Really hoping this can get better in time.

Depending on how well your training went up until your injury, you may still be able to do your race as long as you rest/heal for the next couple of weeks. Don't worry about the weeks you missed. If you can run shorter distances pain free, then do that. Otherwise, lay off running completely until it heals.
