Don't mess with CinC!
Good luck, girl! BBBS, and race for the JOY of it!
I'll be out riding myself on Saturday, so won't get a chance to check in on your progress until later in the day. Hope the other RM folks can keep this thread going.
Live tracking here: http://www.ironmanlive.com/updates.php? ... &year=2012
You might have to click something else for the actual athlete tracker as it's not live yet. I can't find the start time on the web site, but I'm guessing it starts at 7AM CT.
ETA: Yes, it's 7AM. The race web site is here: http://ironmantexas.com/
GO, HARD CORE CARLA, GO!!!

Re: Don't mess with Texas! (CinC's tracking thread)
thank all y'all! and you should be tracking me today. so far it has included:
get up
eat cold oatmeal made by size5 (using pts recipe link the food area)
double check bike and run gear bags
let some air out of the tires
head to the swim area for the only practise swim time (it's not a public lake, so only on time to do this)
do a quick 15min swim to feel the water and get my sighting figured out - water felt great - it'll likely be wetsuit optional (and if you wear a wetsuit, you are waiting for 10min on the shore until you can start - i'm not wearing a wetsuit as i really think it'll be too warm)
head over the t1 to drop off bike and gear bags
back at hotel and this will be where i hang for the rest of the day!
it's going to be quite warm - likely a high of 30 tomorrow (same as today) - feeling like 35. I've done a bit of training outside in the last few days and have felt ok - but those have been fairly short workouts - so send cooling vibes!

i believe so. They said last night at the meeting that the wetsuits still get the 2:20 for the swim, but you need to make up the time on the bike as the bike cut off is still the same for everyone.

interesting. I hadn't thought about the time cut off implications, just the overall time aspect of it.

It's going to be awesomes!!!
C you are ready. Go embrace all that texas has to offer. You swam in a pool, rode on a trainer and ran on a TM more more time/distance than I can imagine all winter long. Now is the time to put all of that training out on the roads of Texas. We will be cheering loud from near and far. Race with all of that in your heart and go celebrate another ironman.
