First Try A Tri...

Postby DonnaRigs » Fri Nov 29, 2013 9:26 pm

So, I did the Try A Tri offered at the Wing today as part of "World Sports Day". It was well-organized and very friendly. My knees and left IT band are killing me, so that sucks, but it's my own fault - wasn't planned so I hadn't swam, biked or ran in months.

But it's done, and the first time's the worst, right?

Thanks guys! At least I know it isn't impossible - but I definitely need to train!

Jwolf - they just had us swim for twenty minutes, ride a spin bike for twenty, and run on a TM for twenty. I made it 600 metres, 7.5 miles and 1.57 miles (stupid ITB).

Not awesome, but it's done!

Congratulations!

Personally, I'd consider this your first training try a tri.....doing one in a race environment would be quite different, I would think!
