Man, you rock!! Awesome run Sheldon!!. That's it, I'm now an official Doonst fan now!

Take care of that knee. We don't want you to burn up before BQ.

Way to go, doonst! Congrats on the PB, the hardware, the swag! That's a damn fast course now. Last year the 25 included the down-and-up hill in Queenston, but for now the half course is just flat, so it's very fast. Way to go!! You gotta love this race, certified or not...
It was nice to chat with you before the race.

Congratulations! Wow you are super speedy. That is a very impressive result. Congrats on the hardware and the wine too. It sounds like it was a great race.

Whoa Doonst!!! That's so cool - what a great race! Your determination is impressive. Eyes on the prize, indeed! And the prizes are now in your pocket. Sounds like a beauty of a race.

CONGRATULATIONS ON A VERY PROUD DAY!

ps - Sanders and I are about to sign up for PEC. (Right Sanders?)

Hmmm, I don't see your names down just yet. I did register while I was there looking. Its official, my BQ attempt for this October. It sure was sweet plunking that half time into the McMillan calculator, it says I should be able to do it. I need a 3:35:59.

Results are posted here http://www.welovetorun.com/RaceResults/NIAGARA%20HALFMARATHON%20RD%20RESULTS.HTM and here: http://ouser.org/results/07/ni07.pdf and they confirm I really was the oldest fast guy, no, the fastest old guy. Out of 16. I thought maybe it was a mistake.

Cool about the official BQ'ing date!

Sanders is snoozing  , and it's 1/4 to 9. But then we had a hectic weekend, and I guess we haven't totally discounted the Vermont marathon, only because it's closer, and cheaper. I think it would be less fun though, and fun matters!!

Where are you staying in Picton? (If only the name of this town didn't have such gruesome associations. :( )

Any place you'd recommend? (I think Sanders started this thread a long time ago, but I can't find it.)

Haven't booked anything yet, but we have to nail it down this weekend, as Heather is away all summer. Any place sound good to you?

This made me smile :D For such a speedster you are still such a humble guy. Well, except when you're racing against Dave  Congratulations Doonst, you rocked that course !!! I look forward to following your progress and I know you'll be adding BQ to your list of accomplishments in the very near future.

They have put some still photos into a youtube video of the half. I appear briefly before the start and on the course at 1:32. Nice impression of the course though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lON7LRTeoxc

We're looking to nail it this weekend too - the package - signing up for the fall marathon and booking accomodations. Some nice sounding B&Bs, but still need to do some online shopping...

Holey Carp, Sheldon! Congratulations, man -- that was one freakin' awesome run! Jo-Jo may think she's the official Sheldon fan, but I know what's what. Thanks for the inspiring performance and report. :)
