Dave, I already wished you congratulations, but I wanted to repeat that I was so happy to see this result yesterday. It made my day.

I loved your description of the race, fighting through the pain. It's the only way to do a marathon, I think.

You do have even better times ahead, I'm sure. Something you're doing is working now.

What a trip! Nicely done Dave. I'm hoping there's a shot of the game face you had on before this one. What a huge dent into your marathon time! You'll be grooving on this pb for a bit and rightly so. Superb!

Wow, what a turnaround from struggling to break 4 hours. Those times will continue to plummet with your natural speed. Well done.

Happiness is a 21-minute PB! :D :D :D

It was great hanging out with you before, during and after your amazing race. I loved your reaction coming over the finish line. I bet the photo is fabulous. Then, you were just so cool about it afterwards.... because you knew you could do it. And you delivered - 8)

Very, very impressive indeed.

I've been thinking about your "welcoming the pain" approach since I read your report. I'm going to try to remember that in the future. Thanks!

I was thinking about that on my run today too. Whenever it started feeling tough, I thought, what would dgrant say?
