Princess Jo-Jo! Sure - All I need is my allergies to act up in the midst of my bronchitis nightmare. ( It must have been allergies - That's my story and I am sticking to it!!! )

It is such an honour to know you Joanne!! You continue to be such an inspiration to me and, I am sure, many others!!!!

I do hope to get to Wolfe Island this year but that depends on my Alaska adventure.

Take care, sweetie!!

I was an honor for me the be there with you.

Congrats on a tough day, you pulled through it admirably.

I brought my scrubs and didn't even have to change your dressings :(

Thanks for everything. We wouldn't have gone and enjoyed such a cool weekend if not for you.

You rock!

I loved your race report and especially the comment about how the Boston spectators are "professionals" whose job is it is to cheer you on during the race and to congratulate you after.

Absolutely great job in finishing and you have most definitely earned the right to wear your jackets and shirts and medal with pride.

Just my opinion but a great plan to drink wine for three weeks otherwise if you start making plans when still high the Boston Marathon "drug" you start doing really silly things like signing up for another marathon in order to qualify for Boston again.

Yay Jo-Jo! Great run and great report. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Good thing you didn't get to Boston a few days earlier - you would have have every starter in tears by race time.

However I have a bone to pick with you. Here I was at work ready to go home but waiting until you crossed the finish line. Then I see pictures of you smoozing and having pictures taken at the 38K mark while I am waiting!!!!. Oh well, I guess you don't run and finish Boston every day so you are forgiven. Heck, I might even buy you a beer!

Sometimes there is just a reason $hit happens, both figuratively and literally I think you found that in your experience.

I fully expect to be running with Joanne in Boston in the near future. I think I will phone her mother to let her know of the plan. She will take care of talking to Mike so that Joanne will have a good training plan.

Great report Jo-Jo, but I think you need to add 'social butterfly' to your name somehow :-) You seemed to really connect with people so easily, pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing this experience with us Jo-Jo. It may not have been the time you wanted, but you got to run Boston, not everyone can say that.

...and I am soooo glad I got a chance to meet you!!!

(p.s. thank you for the lovely compliment!! I am on the search for a new picture now!! :D )

Wow... I read this at work and barely could compose myself for a meeting. So I promised I'd wait until I came home. So now I'm crying for a second time.
CK had it nailed... your report is all elements of you. So much character and such humanity... you are a rare and special person.

Your attitude is inspirational as is your generosity and spirit.
Congratulations Boston finisher. 8)

Thanks for this report, Jo-Jo. Congratulations on getting your Boston medal, for toughing out the finish, conquering a fear, and inspiring many people.

Wow! What a report! Life threw a lot of stuff at you in the last year Jo-Jo. You are a heck of a feisty and determined woman. Wear your medal proudly. You deserved it big time.
I run because it's fun.
