What a great race today I started off at a nice easy pace, warming everything up until about 3K into the race at which time I picked up my pace and settled on a comfortable one, one that I thought I could endure for the remaining distance. I kept the pace up for the duration, but I had very little energy left when I came around the corner and spotted the finish line. I could not give that extra spurt of energy that I like to do at the end, but I kept my pace crossing the finish line in under an hour, chip time.
My gun time recorded: 1hr 7secs; my chip time recorded 59 mins 28 secs
My training is paying off, each race is getting a little better. My goal now is to focus for the Royal Victoria Half Marathon, not so much on time but more on endurance. I am extremely happy to have broken that 1 hour barrier, not by much, but never the less

Excellent job on breaking an hour. If you had nothing left at the end, you ran a great race and left everything on the course. Good job.

Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!
