Any explanation for why the website was showing a 3:30 chip time but a 3:29 gun time? That would require making a break for it during the national anthem or something.

or running faster than the speed of light.

Well done Strider, you make it sound like fun! If you're gonna do a silly race, that's the way to do it. Congrats.

David, what can I say? You make this running thing look easy.

I'm impressed, but not surprised. If anyone could pull off a BQT after running a decent 1/2 mary the day before, it is you. Your results are true evidence of the heart and work you put into running (and life for that matter). Just a couple of the things that we love about you.

You inspire me my friend - more than you can ever know.

Hug your girl for me - I know I'll see her soon, but it's not soon enough!

P.S. There are few greater joys in life than running with the ones you love, don't you think?

Way to go, Strider! I was watching from the turnaround between 20-21 miles but never saw you. It was soooo crowded!

My friend (who also did the Goofy) also re-qualified for Boston and ran his second fastest marathon ever! Must be the magic of Disney!

You've been running too many hard miles my friend!!! All those long & hilly trail runs, those early morning jaunts chasing the snow plough on Corkstown, the "run 'til you puke and welcome to the half way point" race in Utah....all of these made this possible. Congrats and enjoy the Goof of the Year award....
Wouldn't it have just been easier to re-BQ while in Boston???? Think of all those photo-ops with funny costumed people that you missed along the way. Why let Andy have all the fun?

Nice work, Strider, but I'm getting some mixed signals here.

strider wrote:...You can NOT fake a Marathon, it is a tough event...

I passed 21 miles, still running stronger and maybe even faster just passing people the whole way...it was actually getting easier.

Honestly Tall, we are BOTH lucky, happy and very appreciative of each other - a recipe for success. Thanks for being such a good friend to us 'cause that's critical too. :D

So does the first 13 miles of the Mickey follow the same route as the Donald? Just curious.

Yes and No - it does follow the same route but with additional parts thrown in. For example on the Mickey it starts at the same place as the Donald but then does a 4 mile loop up and through epcot so you have 4 miles under your belt before heading to Magic Kingdom.

Ah, I see! I was just thinking if it was exactly the same for the first half, that would be a bit monotonous 2 days in a row!
