What a wonder way to climb back in the saddle of racing. Congratulations on a hard won effort. It must be very rewarding to be back in racing form. Keep your focus!

Nicely done Jennifer. It should give you a lot of confidence that you were able to keep pushing at the end.

Jen I am so happy to read this report. Congratulations!
Your patience in dealing with your injury is something I am trying to emulate.
You have taken the time to heal and then put in the time and effort to make a fantastic return to racing.
That is a great time, one that I'm sure is only going to get faster. WELL DONE

Thanks everyone.

I was talking to my best running friend (narr) about this. We agreed that while this was not my best race time, it might have been my best race. I felt so strong. When I did this race in 2008, I wrote in my report the day before: "A strange calm came over me ... when I realized I just wanted to enjoy the race, run a strong race, and I was happy to see what the race would bring me no matter what that was." I felt the same way on Sunday, and it worked out better than I could have expected.

This is really what racing is about. And I love it.
