Quinoa Cookies

Postby abirdd » Sat Jan 21, 2012 7:33 pm

Just made these http://myvega.com/recipes/quinoa-coconut-cookies yesterday, and already the kids have devoured the entire batch.

Any maniacs have other quinoa based cookie recipes they could share?!

Ooh, I have left-over quinoa from dinner tonight...at least 2 cups worth! I'm gonna hafta try these!

I don't have any MacaSure chocolate (nor do I know where to find any nearby) so I'll have to play with the recipe until I order some from Vega.

I think my friend L will LOVE these!

I had some Maca bars left, but honestly... you could use any good quality, rich, dark chocolate. I just liked being able to turn quinoa into cookies - for some reason, I always jump to making quinoa cakes, cold salads, or side dishes. Never thought about the dessert angle!

I just happen to have a tin of high quality Dark Belgian Chocolate chippets in my pantry! I'm going to make these after my workout this afternoon!

I would like to tell you how awesome they were, but I did not get ONE. I know it means making another batch, but I'm a little concerned about how quickly these went down! I'm going to do another round next weekend, and stash some away for me :D

Here is another awesome quinoa recipe, approved by Dr.S and hubby!

Babysteps shared it with me and I've done it many times since.

Those brownies are divine!

In fact so great that we can't make them in our house because we would stuff our faces with them. So we enjoy them while at Claudie's..... LOL

Those original ones look amazing! I should have tried them yesterday when I had chocolate in the house (vegan chocolate even)... Maybe I need to go get more chocolate? Yes, I totally NEED more chocolate, it is for the good of the family, I say!
