Generation UCAN

Postby HCcD » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:21 pm

Anyone heard of and/or tried the Generation UCAN supplement products ??

One of the team members on Team Euro-sports was able to secure a team discount pricing, by ordering it directly from the US distributor ...

Every once in awhile, something comes along that changes traditional thinking and paves the way for the future. Superstarch, the unique, healthy energy source powering Generation UCAN products, is one of those discoveries. Employing a patented process that doesn't use chemical or enzymatic modification, we've created a natural, slow burning carbohydrate that redefines the way energy is delivered. While the fast-acting carbs in most sports drinks (simple sugars, maltodextrin) have been denounced by many nutritionists, Superstarch has been deemed revolutionary because of its ability to stabilize blood sugar, a characteristic that is considered the holy grail of sports nutrition. Because of this unique trait, Superstarch delivers sustained energy with no highs and lows, allows your body to burn stored fat for fuel by preventing spikes in insulin, and promotes healthy recovery post exercise. Superstarch is a large, complex carbohydrate that has a high molecular weight and low osmolality. Simply put, this means it digests quickly and is gentle on the stomach. By utilizing both carbs and fat for fuel, Superstarch improves your metabolic efficiency and puts your body in its ideal performance state so you can start strong AND finish strong. It's long-lasting energy that helps you triumph the healthy way. Leading carbohydrate researchers like Dr. Jeff Volek and top sports dietitians like Bob Seebohar have called Superstarch a game changing innovation in sports nutrition.

Sounds too good to be true, so it probably is. ;)

I tend do agree with La here- sounds too good to be true so it probably is.

I have yet to find out what it actually is biochemically.

ditto +1

And, it doesn't seem to affect my Chee Cha Puff and UCAN supplier this season, as he just miss the Gold at ATB by about 28 seconds this year ... :shifty: :P
