Thankfully, I remembered to put my stuff in the dryer this morning before work!
Doing a Solstice run this evening. Could be up to 10K (depending on how cold it is and how I feel).

Re: Tuesday!!!
Had a great 12K this morning. Put screws in my shoes last night, so I ventuted off my usual winter route and headed down to Presquile for some snow packed paths and ice on the beach.
Woke up at 3am to see if the lunar eclipse was visible- unfortunately clouds had blown in and there was nothing to be seen.

Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I am on HOLIDAYS!!! Going for a run after 8:00 during the week, feels odd! 11k on the plan.
Re: Tuesday!!!
I'm on a self-imposed speedwork hiatis for 2 weeks. SO it was 13K on the TM at an easy pace. Tomorrow will be outdoors for sure, I was just feeling too lazy to get bundled up this morning.
Have a good one all!

Planning a 3km outside run and a 3km TM run later today. After my new running mate settles down for a little nap in her kennel I shall sneak away.

Running is a statement to society. It is saying 'no' to always being on call, to sacrificing our daily runs for others' needs. When we run we are doing something for ourselves. ~Phoebe Jones

Done. I am so weak willed right now, need to recharge for the next 2 weeks for 2011
Re: Tuesday!!!
I am on holidays too! I love running in the daylight again - going for 30 mins Tempo Run after lunch.
Re: Tuesday!!!
Treadmill progression interval run (no recovery):
4.27miles in 45 min -
-5 min walking warmup
-2 min @ 5.6mph
-2 min @ 5.7mph ...cont'd with 2 min intervals until 7.1mph (30 min total for progression portion)
-5 min @ 6.5mph (wow, and that felt EASY after the progression!)
-5 min walking cooldown
Very happy with how the run felt, even though my form started slipping when I got faster than about 6.7mph. Need more form endurance. But, can't complain considering this ended up quite a bit faster than my usual tempo paces, so yeah!!
MUST get some yoga in this afternoon.

Re: Tuesday!!!
oh yeah, I don't think I'll be running today, unless I get the urge to go for a short run right after work.
I have three goals for tonight:
- wrap gifts
- clean my house
- go to bed early
If I get those things done I will be happy! :)

Re: Tuesday!!!
Sweet Tempo Run of 7 kms today - the weather was so great I had to force myself to slow down. The middle 3 kms were 4:14, 4:11, 4:09 - average pace 4:32 - smokin!
Re: Tuesday!!!
Easy 15K in the not-quite-stupid cold (-20 WC -28).
Re: Tuesday!!!
I had planned a 10km run for lunch however forgot my mitts and hat at home. With a windchill of -25 this won't do My running for the past month has really taken a hit. I am however not training for anything and am looking forward to getting back at it in the New Year. My spin instructor the other day gave some wise advice. She said that most of us who exercise regularly feel so guilty during the Christmas season for missing workouts and indulging. She really stressed that we all need to give ourselves a break and stop being so hard on ourselves. She rightly pointed out that we spend most of the year training hard and in the big picture of things missing a workout here and there won't be the end of the world. Something I needed to hear as I am particularly hard on myself.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!
