30 minute tempo planned today. Not sure when, but I'd like to take it outside. First some last minute hunting for a hard to find kids gift

Is the wind that bad? It didn't feel that bad this morning. At least it is warm out.

Good morning Maniacs! If my new gear arrives I will be outside for 4km if not on TM for 5km. I got a new furbaby on Monday and she is so wonderful and happy-making. And best of all very content so sleeps through the night without any issues. I cannot wait until she is old enough to run with me.

Eeeeeeek!!!! Only 2 days left, as my kids keep reminding me.... Everything is wrapped and bought though. So just got to clean the house and cook now.

Running with Sylvie and a few other RR buddies tonight, a planned 8km around Orleans - assuming I don't get us lost.

Oh no Marg! Hope you nip it in the bud! Sick at Christmas sucks.

10K on the TM with just alot of fun variations thrown in - nothing specific. About 5 hills, some race pace, etcs. Just enough to keep me from being too bored.

Followed by upper body/core work.

Gotta go - the Pres is handing out champagne and orange juice and some yummy eats! :D

  She's never gonna live that one down!

Not a problem, she's working late, so she can't come. Did I mention that I also came up with the route? So yeah, if we get lost, or add on a bunch of km, I'm gonna be a laughingstock.

At least there's no ice storm today, right?

Rest day for me. My feet are sore from two days of running in a row. I've never had that before. :? I think I need a pedicure to get rid of all the callouses on my feet.

I ran 6K last night. We did a "Christmas Lights" tour of the neighbourhood, winding our way through residential streets. It was cold and windy.

Amazing run to work this morning. Kanata to Walkley and Hawthorne. 26.3km in 2:12, last 40mins at 4:44/km pace. Great run, side walks were clear, timed most of the lights perfectly, no gels and 1/2 bottle of water.

NOW I can indulge in some Xmas Cheer for the next couple of days - Guilt free...

Hello from Nepean, Ontario!

I had (have) the idea of running today, but we'll see if that happens. I have some visiting to do!

I planned to go out this morning but the phone rang and rang and rang and ...

oh well

My brother and family had to put down their 16 year old sheltie yesterday. :( Their son (my nephew) is in Muscat, Oman until Jan 3 which made it all the harder. I am also still fighting with the restoration service who is suppose to be fixing my basement. Last week they told me all would be delayed because I used a different floor company then they wanted. So the floor company changed my installation date to the day that the restoration contractors wanted. Now they are still NOT doing a thing! At this rate it will be Feb. before I have access to my studio / office again. That will be four months without my work space and two months of actual diddling away working to rebuild it.

I am firing the crew and taking over. Not sure how that will go. But I am so tired out from constantly fighting with them and trying to keep on top of their mistakes that I don't have the energy to run anymore. Time to give them the boot and get this stuff done!

Mandatory rest day here so that I don't pick up too much mileage at the tail end of a marathon recovery. Later on, I'll make the trip to the small redneck town where I grew up -- the only sensible place to run there is at the school track so I'll spend part of the afternoon shoveling a lane.

A little over 5miles done on the TM this morning. Lunch with a friend in a few hours then packing to get my daughter ready for her first flight alone out to Newfoundland to see her Dad on Christmas Day. I am really starting to get nervous about this.....
