Perhaps a short run at the gym this morning

Bon voyage!
Unlikely I'll do anything today.
Have some ART lined up and a tea date.

We had steaks on the bbq last night for dinner. On Jan 2nd, and we have a green lawn in the backyard.

10+ K done on the YMCA track. I ran the first 3+k with a friend and know I did slightly over 3k but I don't know by how much.

And today starts my Vancouver Marathon training. Targeting a Sub-4.

And now I'm at work. Oh well.....

Good Long Run yesterday

45min Elliptical + Strength at lunch today

MrsS and I just registered for the Wine Glass Marathon in Oct. In Celebration of their 30th year it is only $30 for the
first 30 people to register...and we were two of them - sweet, sure cheaper than NYC.

MrsS and I were talking about this yesterday. 4 years ago before the Houston Marathon, we did our last "long" run in shorts on the very clear Watts Creek path....but then winter hit with a vengeance.....

Back to work for me today. :(

No running- I'm going to lay off for a week or so to let my heels get back to 100%. I don't want to do anything silly and end up with full blown PF.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

10K in an hour at the gym. Nice easy recovery pace. Followed by some core/upper body work!

Felt pretty good!

Now I'm going to savour my last day of holidays.

I think I'll run today, if for no other reason than to enjoy the sunshine. :) but we'll see how things go... I have a ton of other stuff to do today too!!

2miles/17:10 on the treadmill are in the books! So far, I am on a mini streak for daily runs which started Dec 30th.
I have gone anywhere from the dinky dorky 1km to 7km :D

Wonder how long I can keep this streak going? Probably jinxed it right now

Hilly 14.3km run this morning in the cold sunshine. Last day of holidays - it's going to be hard to get back into a schedule again.

Back to work today, but out for a run first. 6.6k in just over 40 minutes, left the house just as the first bus came to pick up kids in my neighbourhood. A lovely morning for a run!

Going to do 3-4 km on the TM later today. Woke up with a cold so hoping that won't overly effect things.

Congratulations Sonia - enjoy your honeymoon!!

Happy New Year! Like a few others, back at work today :( At least it started off well with an hour on the TM - gym was pretty quiet since a lot of people have the day off. Had a wonderful run on Sunday to welcome 2011 - 10 km in misty conditions and 11 C temperature - it felt like Vancouver.

15K recovery run. Pleasant conditions (-6) and just the right amount of snow on the bike paths.

I completely enjoyed sleeping in again this morning..... ugh back to 5:45 tomorrow.

So far I've been good about getting back to running - 16 km so far. The run was good but I would have preferred to have been skiing.

I'm looking forward to a Thai dinner tonight. Back to portion control and veggies tomorrow!!

Hello from the Halifax airport, where I'm waiting to begin my journey home. What a trip I've had!!!

Huge thanks to RA!

No run for me today, unless I'm late for a plane. ;)

Resume writing followed by groceries followed by a run in the sunshine. By then I should be less stressed, I hope.

It was a gong-show at the gym this morning (read: I was late and gave myself approximately 45 seconds to set up for a weights class in a full studio), so I tagged along with Neil for a run around the neighbourhood (read: slowed him down; talked his ear off). Okay. You can do whatever you want on the spin bike or the treadmill but nothing will test your fitness (or lack thereof) like an outdoor run. My name is Louise; but you can call me Wheezy.

Happy New Year! I hope Santa was good to everyone!
Louise
