I was thinking LIghthouse park. It's a little further away but would be nicer for the out-of-towners, and more interesting for anyone who wants to come without a dog. :)

Good plan.

I'm out. I left it too long to look at flight info and I won't be able to use points for the trip. :(

I do still hope to make a Vancouver trip in the first half of this year.

Sorry you can't make it Barbara.

If you want to come for another race, the Scotiabank half on June 26 is a great one.

I just checked the Vancouver Marathon website I don't see anything about being sold out. I am still on the fence, though.
I think Wreak Beach is still pretty cold this time of the year.

I'm kinda thinking I might not run.... $130 is a lot for a glorified training run. :/

Maybe I will just cheer instead. :)

My plan is to find you guys and cheer for the marathoners after I finish my half and get a quick coffee/snack. :)

The half starts a half-hour earlier so I'll be done in time to cheer on even our speediest marathoners.

I need to decide if I'm going to race/run or not. I'm not in the same shape I was in last year when I ran, so I definitely wouldn't beat last year's time in the half. Big decision... the half is $95 now. I could register for the 8k instead. Hmm....

My friend Rob who just signed on to RM as rob_w will be doing the marathon. He needs to update the list. :)

Chantelle (starting_over) also hasn't been posting much lately but she's likely doing it.

Jump145 is also local.

Unfortunately it was a big price jump after last week, but I did sneak in beforehand. It's not a cheap race, but it's worth it.

Hmm I'm technically a Vancouverite. ...some of my tax documents get mailed to mom and dad's place in Vancouver.
But if you want to be specific, yes I'm a Vancouver Island-ite.

I happened to notice this price increase to $130.00. I do find that expensive. I can still run the Runwild Leading Edge Marathon in St. Albert for $85.00 or the Saskatchewan Marathon in Saskatoon for I think $85.00.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!
