Nice work, everyone!

Thanks for checking in Carla. I was SO excited to see you and Erin finish within 2 minutes of each other on the live feed. Hope you got all the tweets. :)

Mr. Seuss- I hope you were able to hobble in, perhaps past the official finish line. Congratulations for tackling the tough road. Take care-- and take care of your body!

yep - finished at 17:22. tough day at the office. no water at any of the last 4 water stations before Yellow Lake messed with his race plan. had to spend a lot of time at special needs and T2 to recover. word is that there was a lot of water left over last year [hail storms, cold temps with less dehydration compared to yesterday's 40 degrees] so they ordered less this year. as a result there were lots of DNFs and missed cutoffs.

T1 - "i just wanted to get myself organized well for the day"

so proud of him - he may not be an official Ironman, but he is truly made of iron.

great to see FarmGirl and meet hubby and see IronColl out on the course.

as well as cheering on the races at several points on the course, i had to coordinate the comings and goings of 1 out of town guest {Karin - you rock!] and 2 sets of visitors who came to surprise John on the race course. add to that being his gear sherpa and coorinator of 2 banner holder kids on the late shift, i am in need of recovery as much as John is.

looking forward to some lazy days during our last week here.

I agree with the others, he still finished and that makes him an Ironman. Hope you all enjoy a nice relaxing week or two... :)

Mr Seuss is seriously made of iron. You have to be to keep going for over 17 hours! I can't imagine what it's like.

Hugs and hand shakes, and claps on the back from Trixiee and Mr. Trixiee! We were holding our breath waiting to hear what happened. Running out of water is such a terrible thing. It messes with your head like no tomorrow! Way to go Mr. Ironman Seuss! Now, both of you, get some R&R and enjoy the rest of the week! :)

Thanks for the update, seuss. Did he get his medal, hat and shirt? When my friend crossed at 17:15 back in 2006 they gave her the finishing gear.

Running out of water at aid stations?? At Ironman? That's pretty bad. :(
