Twas the Last Monday Before Christmas

Postby HCcD » Mon Dec 19, 2011 7:51 am

Final week of Christmas, everyone ... Should I start my christmas shopping yet? :shifty: Or, just stick to my usually $cash$ and Gift Cards, as we really only give stuff to the Nephew and Niecely, as of late ...

Got in my 30 minutes in the Chair at the Club this morning .. and, weather looks decent for later this afternoon for a run .. :shifty: If not for this 100 run / 100 day challenge thing ...

6km done.
Hope the pace starts winding down this week.
I hear the carols, I've done the shopping but without much snow, it just seems weird!

I have errands to run today (including picking up my car from the dealership after work), so likely no time for a workout.

I am not feeling Christmas at ALL this year! I've not bought any gifts yet and I am grossly underprepared for the upcoming weekend. At least I got around to ordering my turkey!

10k planned for me tonight. My training plan this week is supposed to be light, as last week was a little on the heavier side (for this point in training), but I'm going to switch them around...because time wise it works better that way....Gonna do my long run on Friday this week as I took the day off.

I'm going to the spa! It'll be another rest day pour moi. Hoping this cold will not keep on growing. And that the sauna will kick its ass!! Have a good day all.

Glorious sleep-in this morning, but it meant that by the time I was ready to run, C was ready for a nap! So I hit the treadmill instead of outside - I threw in 4 x 3 minute hills, starting at level 3 and going to level 6. Just over 5km.

Steady 8.5km this morning around the 'hood. Just trying to maintain my fitness at this point as I have no idea what my running plans will be for next year.

The local pool reopens today after a 2 week shut down so I am ready to swim, BUT I really want to run with the club tonight. What to do? So either a 2000m swim workout or 45 min run with the club. I will decide at 5:15 tonight.

It's my usual rest day but since I did my long run on Saturday, I was bagged yesterday so I'm going to put in another 30-35 minutes for the 100 in 100 challenge tonight. Woo hoo for +3 in Ottawa!

Rest day today - have just finished baking sugar cookies for the little guy to decorate and give to his teachers. This seemed like a saner idea before I totalled it up and realized that between kindergarten and daycare, the number of 'teachers' adds up to EIGHT people!

Ran 9.25k today! My longest run yet. It helped that the streets are nice and dry, and the snow held off 'til I was finished.

Got out for a quick 4.25k this morning. Wanted to run longer, but it was my day off and I didn't set an alarm, and overslept. Oh well!
