I went to my 6 am swim (blah!) and have a 12k moderate paced run tonight with my friends Rachel, Nicole and Sean. Where are you, long weekend?

My first day of the 'conditioning' phase as the gym this morning.

Work out was:
10 deadlifts
20 sec plank
6 overhead press (two kettlebells)
6 bent over rows (wide stance, deadlift position)

these were done in one minute intervals (any time left after carrying out the exercise was rest time)
The rumours are true......

10K on Treadmill last night and 6.5K planned for tonight. I have a doctor's appointment after work so it may be a later than usual run for me (and they are already pretty late).

Happy Hump Day!

Rest day for me today. Cold is trying to come back grrrrrrr. I refuse to let it! I am working with a local fitness trainer to set up a dog / owner boot camp June - August. She wants to run it 3 mornings a week. We'd co lead (she'll address the fitness stuff, I'll address the dog training stuff). That will keep me busy early in the day through summer! We are trying to come up with a name. She suggested Muttcamp. Anyone have any ideas let me know!

5km walk this morning, and another 5km on tap this afternoon, taking DS to/from school (about 2.5km each way), since he wanted to ride his bike. He's 4 and on training wheels, so it took a good 40 minutes to get there, anticipating similar coming home - so better exercise for him than it is for me, but it's a beautiful day. A few hours of yardwork on tap in between.

I think my ankle is definitely sprained, hurts like heck and can hardly walk on it. Tonight will do some weights and ab work...

I was in Banff, skiing, on the weekend and I'm still a bit tired forma travel heavy month. But speedwork got done last night and I ran the 7k to work this morning,

Now that ski season is over, its time to get the mileage back up (and the bikes out).

9 km and change this morning - first 6 km with the stroller + baby (the looooong way to daycare) and the rest with an empty stroller heading home after drop-off. Much quicker with the lightened load!

Just shy of 8K (7.99 after correcting the Garmin track) at a 6:29 pace. Beautiful, mostly clear, sunny day at the beach. The water was the most ridiculous, unreal turquoise colour -- and me without my camera. Not sure where the wind was coming from, but it felt like I was running into a headwind no matter which direction I was going. And the climb back up to Kingston Road was pretty tough.

5K tomorrow and a 'rest' on Friday.
