Great run this morning- 11K on road and trail. Heading out in a bit to start the McD family Christmas festivities!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Rest day today... I'll end up putting on 10lbs this holiday season, but the food and company will be worth it :D

Merry Christmas Eve! Woke up at 6:00 this morning with sore and tired legs from yesterdays killer workout. Thought about going back to sleep but made myself get up and hit the pool. Glad I did! 2500m done and my legs feel great now.

Have a wonderful day!!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

I did the long run I missed on the weekend.

I wanted to get at least 1 25K run in before the end of the year. Mission accomplished. The first 22 were great, but the last 3 were a bit of a slog. I feel like I've lost so much fitness since October. This was, however, done on the heels of 12 and 15K runs on the weekend.

Of course, tomorrow I rest.

Off to begin the festivities!

Easy 7 km this morning in anticipation of all the eating. Lovely morning actually - cool, but not too much wind.

We'll head out for our annual family snowshoe expedition this afternoon.

My first post, yeah!

I just did a small little 5K out there in the snow and ice. It was my first run in the snow this year and it actually reminded me how much more of a workout it can be when every single step you take you are slipping and sliding around.

Nice 55 minute walk outside with my wife. -26C/-34WC, which was initially daunting. But we bundled up &actually went out longer than planned. Wee bit of blue sky &shelter from wind makes all the difference. Merry Christmas, all.
