I am going to try the "For One" plan. On the days that I am home it should be enough to feed 2 (as the plan says it makes dinner and leaves leftovers for lunch) and on the days that I am not home for dinner I can make it for lunch.

Midweek report:

I really like the concept of Fresh20 but so far I only really liked 1 recipe out of 3 and I find it taste rather bland so I add fresh herbs and other spices. My DH thinks the recipes are fine and I'm not usually picky so maybe I just need to adjust. I also didn't like that there was mistake in the grocery list so we had to go back last minute last night and it said it only took 5-6 mins to cook brussel spouts and it took us like 20 mins! So, there's a few minor mistakes in the menus.

There's rarely 2 servings of leftovers so like Jesse said the for 4 is overestimated.

MONDAY  Lemon Thyme Ricotta Potato Cakes Greek Yogurt & Apple Sauce Brussels Sprouts
We added fresh chives and it helped the patties but it wasn't exceptionnal (I wouldn't make it again...)

TUESDAY  Portobello Pizza Bianco Side Salad
Wow that was excellent BUT without the added fresh basil I am not sure it would have gotten the Wow factor.

WEDNESDAY  Mushroom Pasta Side Salad
Very bland, I ended up adding alot of Dash Lemon Pepper spices.

I am thinking it's worth it to give it a longer try and pay for 1 month.

My first meal was delicious: BBQ Chicken Thighs and pasta salad with spinach and a creamy dill dressing. I am doing the "For One" plan and using it to make lunch or late night dinner when I work evenings.

We grocery shop on Fridays and when I got home I did the advanced prep work and cooked the first meal and it took me less than 60 minutes.

Is it seasonal at all (like do they have you buying fall produce for the most part?). Interested but I try to buy seasonal produce (and we have a CSA box) and I am worried about waste. And I also don't eat tofu much, if you get any veggie menus can you let me know the types of foods please? Thanks!

Yes - totally seasonal! That is one of my favourite things about it.

We've been using lots of zucchini, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers over the last few weeks. All readily available at the farmers market. We've also gotten our potatoes and onions at the market, but I guess those are year-round products. And one week there was plum or peach chutney - with fresh market fruit! I'm not sure how well it would work with a CSA basket, because you kind of "get what you get", so you might have to supplement with some additional ingredients.

Sometimes I do a swap - for example, last night it was supposed to be a tomato salad as a side, but I had broccoli and beets from the market, so we had those instead.

Dinner tonight was a salmon filet with lime zest infused feta on top. An ear of corn with a lime/maple syrup/olive oil brushing and a carrot, mango, cilantro salad.

Two thumbs up.

I know you posted this awhile back but if you wouldn't mind sharing the recipe, I would love to try that!

Our 3 months subscription was coming to an end and right before Christmas they had a 50% deal of yearly subscriptions so we've gone with that. We are doing vegetarian per choice, we're not vegetarians, so I miss having some fish recipes in the menu.

Tonight's recipe was awesome: BUTTERNUT SQUASH SALAD & fennel potatoes (pm if you'd like to try it!)
