Another snowy Saturday

Postby MrBond » Sat Jan 18, 2014 9:37 am

A light dusting of fresh snow, just enough to hide the slippery stuff underneath.
Oh well, will get out for a wee jog later...

Yeah, about 2 cm of fresh fluffy stuff. It made for hard work! I was going to do 25, but my pace was so slow I ran out of time. :( 21.5k. Now off to take mom for lunch :)

Lovely day out! Sunny and all that. Just a little slippery in spots. 7.74 km. I can hardly wait for the construction on Queens Quay to be cleared up, but that will be a while yet.

No snow here but it was seriously foggy - we were thinking we should have been wearing our lights today.

16km with the last 6km uphill  - since I suggested the route I had to suck it up and go.

Heavenly weather and hellish footing here. 24k total, most of it on loops of the pathway that weren't as icy. For anyone in Calgary, the bow river pathway between crowchild and the east village is decent with some slippery spots. Everything else west and east of there is ankle-breaking patches of ice and slush. At least it's 10C and beautiful sunshine!

Such a nice day in Montreal, sunny and 2oC, ran with 4 miles with DH. Starting to get slowly back into long runs as I am hoping to be ready to run a half in April.

8 miles done. I felt overdressed until I turned around... and discovered a cold wind. All done now and time to eat!

8km done with a running buddy who was lovely enough to come out from TO! :D It was beautiful out. We weren't terribly quick (5:42) but we did several hills so I'm good with it! Plus, I felt like I could've gone significantly farther, whereas the last 8km run I did left me feeling like I had raced!

19 hilly k in 2hr on snow shoe trails. My flight didn't land until 1am last night so it was a slow and very tired run. Glad I went, happier when it ended. I felt very jet lagged and worn down, and jet lagged isn't common for me.

Spent the day snow tubing with my son and just finished up 5K on the TM. Although they shouldn't have, my legs felt pretty heavy actually. Day off to watch some football tomorrow!

Not snowy here either. Beautiful sunny sky, +6. 11k done on pathways that still had a bit of ice.

I ran a good 24km in Edmonton. A running buddy up here ran the 1st 20kms with me. I ran from the Kinsmen out to the Capilano Footbridge. Great weather. Some of the trail was pretty slick. :)
