I really wanted to go outside today - it would have been great, but this cold has migrated to my chest a bit, and I just didn't think it would help things.

10K @ 6.0 - 6.6 mph. 58:30. Despite the cold, the run felt fantastic! No doubt I'll pay for it later.

I also managed 15 minutes of stretching and strength.

Weekend running plans will be played by ear.

11K at recovery pace for me this morning on very sloppy roads. The only downside to the warmer temps is that the previously hard pack snow on the roads is now very soft and slippery.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

TGIF! I started the day with a good 8 mile run on the TM this morning. The only downside is that it could have been outside. Unfortunately, because there was snow in the forecast for overnight I was expecting to be shoveling this morning, not running outside, and I didn't even consider that option until we were halfway to the gym. Oh well, still good to have put in the distance. Busy day at work so that's it from me. Have a good day and better weekend, everyone. :)

Plan for me is an 8k easy run, probably on the roads near work. Then lunch with a friend. :)

I've been a slug this week so I walked halfway to work. I didn't get moving early enough to walk all the way. Depending how I feel after work I may walk home.

It is cold over here! Brrr. I am tired today so am going to head to spin at lunch. I need someone to just yell at me what to do :) I am so excited for my Mexican vacation today - I feel like a little kid :)

I went to the oval for a skate at lunch. 10 laps in about 22 minutes. Plus the walk there and back, of course.

Finally warm is exactly how I felt! I laid out all my outside and inside clothes last night in hopes I might get an outdoor run. C was up early, but she was enticed by our first stroller run in over a month. The 300m each way on our block was very tough going because it was covered in soft snow, but the more primary streets for the rest of the run were great. 4 km done - stroller + snow + toddler + baby-in-belly = hard work!

Which forecast were you looking at? Mine said no snow until overnight tonight.

Environment Canada and the Accuweather app on my phone were both predicting some snow, beginning around midnight and ending before morning. We got home about 11:00 last night, and as Ed was putting out the garbage for this morning's pick-up, he said there were a few flakes. Environment Canada was reporting a "snow shower" at the airport at the same time. But happily it didn't develop into much. I am hoping against hope the same thing happens with the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

Finally got back out today, after a lot of "runs replaced by cross-training" lately. 5k, nothing earth-shattering, but felt good.

I had such a nice run today! 5.6km at 5:18 pace, the fastest I've gone in ages! The bare roads and milder temps meant way fewer layers and so much less aggravation on the roads. :D Tonight is WINE NIGHT!! Yay!!!! We have made a new years resolution that until mat leave ends, we buy wine only once a week. Of course, when we look forward to it all week, it usually means a better bottle gets bought, so it doesn't save a TON... but it's better than our old habit of buying wine 3 or 4 nights/week.

I think with the windchill it is something like -20. I am going to run on the treadmill at the YMCA in a few minutes. I have been looking at all my running logs since '96. A new record for kms in a month. I should have 244km by the end of the day. :D
