Re: Beatles Sunday thread
About 7.5k with no watch of any kind. I could have so easily skipped it again (snowing, cold, got 4 hours sleep last night), but talking running with a few people last night helped me find my motivation for the first time in weeks. Most enjoyable run of this winter so far.
PR's so far: 5K 27:15, 10K 55:25, 21.1K 2:10:53, 42.2K 5:21:27
Upcoming: Toronto Women's 5k in May, STWM Half in October

Chilly 16K (-29 WC -36). The weatherman had promised a -45 WC, so I'm kind of disappointed.
Re: Beatles Sunday thread
We went snowshoeing today. It was my first time on snowshoes, and I quickly realized that trying to walk backwards to turn around makes you fall. We went for about an hour.

#$%&*$ ITBS...8k in Gatineau on much too unstable ground caused another flare. Most of the 8k was walking...beautiful trail but disappointed none the less. Felt very good beyond that after yesterday's long run.

Re: Beatles Sunday thread
Aw that's too bad ngcaper. I had a similar experience- not a flare up, but a "warning" flare up. I was going to do 14km today, and I shut it down at 11 when my knees started to complain a bit. The footing was getting really slippy, and the rest of my run was downhill, so I knew it would probably feel worse and not loosen up. I'm glad to have gotten out, though! I'm glad I stopped, too. I will hopefully not need to take a day off tomorrow now.

4K ladder on the TM. That's enough for this week. Survived soccer last night for the first time in many weeks.

3 miles on TM today. Cut this one short as legs were tired from downhill skiing with Amelia today!
Re: Beatles Sunday thread
I did very nice 16k with RobW this morning along false creek (finished in 1:33). I was very happy to finish early with no sign of the s-word.

Watched part of a documentary on the '60's last night, I remember when those musicians all looked that young….

Re: Beatles Sunday thread
Happy to report 27 km done on the indoor track. It was tough to overcome the desire to just stay home and relax but very satisfying to know the distance is done. Now finishing a really good weekend by doing mountain of laundry...all good things must come to an end...

Re: Beatles Sunday thread
great long run today! started out sluggish, bumped into a friend in the middle of HER long run (it's always helpful to see a friendly face along the way!), and then had a surprising amount of energy for the second half and ended with a healthy negative split. 18 miles done (29km). Now I have the next month to get up into the 20s.

Lovely run. We did see a pile of s-word that you pointed out so I wouldn't step on it, though.
