Restart Sunday
Restart Sunday
Hey Peeps,
Coming out the woodwork a bit finally to run the Yonge st 10k. Should be about 39-42 but closer to 42.
Works basically eaten me alive but I've started to run at lunch over the past couple weeks, which helps to add balance and gives me an out. I've run a few 43min 10k's on the TM this week so well see what happens.
Anyone watch the London mara? The commentators couldn't give it enough to Farah.. "If he's wise, he's done and back to where he counts, here he doesn't" was the general message over and over. But I applauded him for sticking to it and finishing. It may have been a 1/2 mil pound finishing bonus or what not, but he still ran a 2:08:xx which takes grinding. Good job and welcome to the brotherhood of marathon running!

Re: Restart Sunday
Good morning everyone. I'm up early because I want to get on my run by 7. I've been a bit nervous about this one- 26k planned which is my longest in a while other than the BB race a few weeks ago. Send me good vibes.

Have a great run Jen, it looks like it will be a great day. Don't forget sunscreen.
I will be running 62 min with participants, it will be another destination run, 8+ km.
I get to give a talk to the participants on motivation and what to do after the SunRun is over.

Re: Restart Sunday
Happy running everyone! I ran 40 minutes this morning, didn't track the distance. Like Fingerboy, getting back into the running thing.
This is my 5th run this week, no problems so far, just building up the base to go stronger and faster.

Up at 5 to do 33K with a friend.
Re: Restart Sunday
A pokey but awesome 18k with the clinic this morning. Legs felt surprisingly good after yesterday's 32, but it helped to keep the pace slow. I picked a great route if I do say so myself

Run went really well! 26k in 2:38 (6:06/km average). Started really easy at 7:00/km and gradually progressed down to 5:30/km.

Re: Restart Sunday
After a sporadic (at best) winter, I didn't have high hopes for the Yonge St 10k today, but I completely surprised myself with a big PR at 55:25 chip time (previous best was 56:57).
PR's so far: 5K 27:15, 10K 55:25, 21.1K 2:10:53, 42.2K 5:21:27
Upcoming: Toronto Women's 5k in May, STWM Half in October

Drove the clock car for the Yonge St. 10K this morning - sorry if I didn't get to say hello but we had Alan Brookes in the car with us which always makes things exciting...

Restart Sunday
My plan for this weekend was back to back long runs but yesterday's run beat me up more than I had anticipated so today was tough. I kept it flat and paved and still by 7 miles I was beat. I finished out 14.5 miles but much of the second half was walking. Still I am ok with it for time on feet. Sore and tired now, and it was quite sunny and warm so I will be wiped tonight!

Re: Restart Sunday
Was suppose to run 16k but due to poor mapping ended up with 19.2. Each km felt stronger then the last

Hola from Puerto Vallarta. 5th consecutive day running 5K along the Malecon in a feeble attempt to fend off alcohol poisoning. Headed home tomorrow.
