How amazing was that! Wish I could have watched the marathon...can't find it on TV anywhere...Yeah Shalane for running PB as well.

Rest day for me...not a whole lot of running planned for this week leading into PEC on Sunday!

Plan was to run about 20km today ended up with a horrible 18km. Not sure what was going on today (I may be coming down with a cold) but each step felt like a huge effort and any type of incline felt like huge hill. I really hated running today....

Volunteered at the Toronto 10 miler, ran an easy 9k while folks were out on the course, then helped out at the finish line. The run was great!

Too bad they didn't broadcast it, I have an indelible memory of seeing the start of the Berlin Marathon on TV a couple of years ago, wall to wall people about eight lanes wide and all you saw when the start gun went off was clothes flying everywhere as everyone discarded their throw away layers :D

A sore eight k today, my left hamstring was definitely feeling the effects of yesterday's long run. We did a gorgeous run around Deer Lake, got to watch the fog burn off the lake.

5 km on the treadmill this morning - was still dark out when I started, so didn't feel like venturing out with the double chariot.

roughly 6.5 miles, part walk, part run, part hike. Lovely day for September!!

Saw a garter snake in the forest today. It's actually the first I've seen since moving here, so that was a treat.

Montreal Marathon for me this morning. It was already 17 at the start so I knew that a pb was likely out of the question. I started out at my goal pace and pushed hard for 27 km but it was just too hot to keep pushing hard. I took it easy for the last 15 km and finished in 3:36.
