Anniversary Friday

Postby La » Fri Oct 10, 2014 7:26 am

Today is my 18-year anniversary of the first day I went to the gym to work out, which began my journey toward 80 pounds of weight lost.

I celebrated with a 4K run to work. :)

Happy long weekend, everyone!

Happy Anniversary La!! That's a huge accomplishment! Well worth celebrating!

Trip to the gym for me. I'll skip the crossfit class today - way too many burpees for me! (They are partner burpees, and i'll not embarass myself by jumping on someone, instead of over them!)

Just a quick trip to the gym for me, as well. I'll go for a bit of a walk after work. M and I are going for supper and to the hockey game. I'll just stick around after work and walk while I wait for him to get here.

Glorious day for a run here, calm and sunny. It's 16 now but it was 14 when I was putting in my lunch hour 8.5k around the river.

Congratulations La!

14 km along the canal and through the arboretum for me this morning - chilly, but a great fall day. Longest run since Army Run - don't have any longer races on the horizon right now, so need to think about what I want to do until training begins for spring races.

Checked out of work early to go for a run and did 13K out in Kanata. What a GORGEOUS day out there. I'd say the weather was almost perfect for me. I haven't had a rhythm like that going for quite some time. It felt fantastic.

20 minutes fairly hard on the rowing machine plus regular set of stretch/strengthen exercises. No soccer tonight as not enough players for a scrimmage. That means Merlot at home instead of beer at the pub.....such is life!

Happy anniversary La! I got back at running after my week off. 4.5 very slow and easy kilometers.
