my toe...

Postby ultraslacker » Mon Mar 23, 2015 9:08 am

I googled this and it may be a ganglion cyst.

I have a pea-sized lump in the fleshy part of my big toe.

Just noticed it yesterday.

It doesn't hurt unless I press on it.

Has anyone had this? Should I get it checked or see if it goes away on its own? If it is a ganglion cyst it's harmless, right?

I had a ganglion cyst on my elbow a few years ago. When I went to the dr she ended up draining it - not a comfy procedure but it never came back. Maybe an option?

I had a ganglion cyst on my hand. My doctor prescribed two options: use the old standard of slamming it in the family bible ... or leave it alone and see if it goes away. I chose option B and it just went away on its own.

I have one on my wrist that I had drained at one time. It came back! Still there for 30 years. Doesn't hurt a bit though, so I just leave it.

One on the toe might be a bit more uncomfortable though.

I don't notice it just walking around so maybe I will just leave it and see what happens.
