Humidex Tuesday

Postby purdy65 » Tue May 26, 2015 7:43 am

Whew! Surprisingly warm out there this morning! Looks to be more of the same in the days ahead! 22C with a humidex reading when I headed out on my run at 5:30!

11.4K with 5K @ tempo pace (which was much better than last week!), the some 30s strides and a cool down. It felt great despite the heat!

Starting to think about easing it up a bit for my race next weekend! Very curious to see how my marathon fitness translates to a post marathon half. Plus it will be a nice day in Niagara Falls with my DH! :D

No kidding it was humid! I actually broke a sweat on my bike ride into work.

I had a minor mechanical on my bike ride in (details in the NET), so I'm not sure if I'll be able to ride it the 2K from the office to the bike shop on the way home, so I might have to walk it there.

Plan for this evening is to do a tempo bike ride out on the Spit when I get home.

Overcast and chilly this morning here. I have a 1900m swim to do after work and then a 90 min aero ride this evening.

wind and T-storms kept me in last night on the TM, so I ran a hilly programed route for 12k. My calfs are still feeling those hills. Guess I should be doing that more often. Might get a bike in tonight if the weather cooperates, if not, I'll hit the pool.

finally summer weather, no I just need to get acclimatized to it.
Have a great day all. Good luck with the bike issues La.

easy 5 miles. Legs still feel fatigued from the weekend but overall good, and the run helped loosen everything up. I feel good. :)

Just 4k walk on the treadmill at lunch. This cold might be almost gone enough to try a run again later this week. We will see.

I should go to yoga tonight, but I doubt I will.

Got home from work feeling tired but put on the running shoes anyway. Did almost 5K at a good pace all the way. Not much sweat until I stopped and then it started.....

Speedwork: 20 x 200m at ~3K pace with 200m jog recoveries + WU/CD for 13K. That's a sneakily hard workout on a warm day.
