SUNday . . .

Postby NMG » Sun Aug 13, 2017 9:50 am

And lots of it here! 10K for me bright and early. Not a cloud in the sky so I had to get out there before it started to heat up. My inner vampire doesn't do well in these conditions :)

It was a soggy 4km run through the meadows and off roads. It rained on and off most of the night.

First I had brunch with a bunch of maniacs.

Then I ran from the restaurant, up through Stanley park, and across to waterfront station. Now heading home via Seabus.

(8km total)

Looking great gals, sorry I had to miss out on that brunch so I could paddle and brunch with my Dragonboat peeps. Nice as breakfast is at the Sylvia, I suspect our potluck lunch w/bbq salmon was a bit better. Safe travels home.

I have to say, I wasn't impressed by the Sylvia. The service was very slow, and the food was mediocre. I had the west coast benedict (because Bryan raved about the benedict) and it was ok... my potatoes were extremely skimpy (I got what... 5 potato bites on my plate?). Price too high for what I got. I don't think I'd go back.

But the company of course was worth every penny. :)

I've only ever gotten the Jogger's special because it is a decent price, service is very dependent on who you get as a server (and probably how busy the kitchen is). We mostly go because of the location and because there isn't much in the area that can handle larger groups.
