Vulture Bait pics

Postby Kristi » Sun Oct 15, 2006 9:22 pm

I feel as though I've posted a lot of pics recently...maybe I'm becoming a bit of a groupie!! But here are some from a great day at Vulture Bait!

The start line (Tracy and I conserved our energy and stayed at the top of the hill)
Image

Tracy at our cheering post - it got to be a bit lonely out there at times, but we had the opportunity to cheer on a lot of runners!
Image

Larry - we didn't miss you (we just didn't know that it was you!!). Here is Larry chasing Sheldon
Image

And the suspense builds as Sheldon stopped for a drink and then started chasing Larry!
Image

Sheldon at the finish (sorry Larry, I missed you here!)
Image

Well done!!
Image

Number 7 on the fall tour. I do feel a little bit like a Sheldon groupie - it's not intentional - you and Darren keep doing the same races!
Image

Jen (Mayhem) all decked out in orange, stopped by with the family for a visit!

I feel a little strange posting pics of Darren when he isn't a posting member. But he did really well - 5:22. He is even walking today, although he still totally has runner's brain!! But I totally owe him for the abuse that he took for the last 12k at OIM!

Very cool Kristi!

We saw Darren on our way out and I was clapping in the van. I don't think he heard. I so, he must of thought London had some crazy clapping passenger minivan person!

It was wonderful to meet you. And wow, am I ever bundled for the cold.
Erin, my kids have not stopped talking about you, the "smiley" cookies, hot chocolate and Hudson. You made their day!

Those are great Kristi (as always), thank you very much. Isn't Larry sneaky? I didn't even know he was behind me there at the 18 K mark, I hadn't seen him since the start. Oh, and Robbie-T warned me that there might be groupies on the tour. Congratulations to UltraDarren.

So if the folks following the Grateful Dead are Deadheads, what are the folks following Maniacs? Maniac Maniacs? Maniacs Squared?

Good show people!

Great pics Kristi- and way to stick it out in that cold to cheer Darren on... CONGRATS to him on 50k!

Thanks to Tracy and Kristi for "babysitting" Hudson for the morning. He slept all afternoon :D

Erin, no they didn't get to go swimming. The pool was being sandblasted, the hotel was undergoing renos.

No, last year the finisher "medals" were hand made out of pine.
