Nice socks 8) Great pictures !! You seem to have perfect running form in all the pictures I ever see you in.

Yes, that's one of the great things about this race. Even the half gets to run the bridge and tunnel, and run along the river in Windsor.

Thanks. My S.O. says that I lean forward way too much, especially when I'm tired. I'm working on it, except when I'm tired.

In case I ended up floating down the river, I'd be easier to spot. And they were free.

Moi aussi, Sheldon. When I focus I am fine but pics late in runs invariably show me leaning forward.. I have to get better at not leaning!!

I find this interesting because the physio guy I was going to said my hip injury was impart to the way I was running. He was trying to teach me to lean forward, sort of like Chi Running. I've found it very difficult to change my running form when it's what I've been doing since I started running 3 years ago. I guess that's why I noticed your form because I think that's how he wanted me to run. It's also interesting that after all these races you're getting faster and remain relatively injury free, you must be doing something right

Hey, I have a few pr of those cool AA socks as well from last summer's race series.
Correction: my daughter has a few pr (she of raiding my sock drawer fame).
(Not to infer lime green socks are unmanly or anything...)

Great pics!
Done: Full 2, 30k 2, 25k 1, Half 11, 13k 2, 10k 2, 8k 1, 5k 20 ...

Nah, for a big city race,it wasn't too bad. For whatever reason, we started right near the front of the half-marathoner corral. Crossed the line in 6 seconds! Eventually lots passed me, but when you sign up for a big race thats just part of the deal. It looks more crowded than it was. Also, it was a relatively slow crowd, so most people stayed behind me. I finished 277th out of 4440 halfers! Just as many full runners around me too though.

Yeah, somehow those pictures make it look way more crowded than it felt, eh? I'm in the crowd behind you in the first pic (about 50m behind on the far left - black body / white sleeves), and I certainly didn't feel all those people around me.

Wasn't it wild to start a 4000+ field right at the front?

Yes, at first I thought it must be a mistake. What about 20 people started in front of us? Even the final results seem bizarre, I beat over 93.7 % of the field! I think that statistic is a PB.

About the picture. that's sorta creepy, you following me around like that, laying in wait. You got me looking through all of them seeing if you are in them. I hope you didn't assume that I knew what I was doing.

Dave would you be kind enough to post your split times, at least up to the tunnel? It would help me analyze my race.
