Congratulations Sheldon! Great race plan and great execution! I'm super impressed, it sounds like you really enjoyed it. You'll have a BQ your next time out I bet.

I don't think you'll ever have to worry about me passing you in a race again, Sheldon (Scotiabank 2005) ... unless you decide to do 2 marathons back-to-back and I'm in the second one. And even then, I'd have to work d*** hard to catch up to you.

Great job, man. You really are an inspiration. Congratulations!

Great work Bud, and way to go Doonster!! Not many first timers can pull off as well an executed marathon then you just did. Congrats. Few more times up and down the escarpment and you are in Boston. Unfortunately there is no dirt trails there.

So amazing Sheldon! Don't worry, you will definitely shave those 5 minutes off at the Prince Edward County Marathon (is that the one?). You have tons of training time to get you there. We'll see you in Boston in 2008!

It was great to meet you and Heather. Please say hello to Heather for me. Hope to see you both again. See you at ITT for sure.

Congratulations!

Way to go man! Doesn't sound like you'll have too much trouble shaving off a few minutes to BQ. Nice work!

Great report.

You made it sound so easy, that I'm thinking I need to try one of these marathon things this year.

Oh, man. You have such a strong base I am not surprised that a 3:40 was relatively easy. Congratulations on a fun, strong race!!

Someone else in this thread must have asked you if you are going to start doing marathons every weekend? Of course you wouldn't, that's for idiots.

WOW! That's a fantastic first marathon Sheldon! You looked really strong when we saw you at Pretoria. How cool that your nieces were out there with Uncle Sheldon signs! That makes me smile, as I can see my girls doing that for my sister. :D
