Anyone tracking the runners on the BMP? I'm curious about how well they are doing. I hear they lost a couple of their female members. How did Lauren King make out at Disney?

I haven't really been following, but you got me wondering, so I went over to their website. Doesn't look overly impressive.

Lauren King looks like a DNS today.

I keep meaning to follow them... I run by their house frequently and they often pass me while I'm out running.
The rumours are true......

I actually see them all the time! They blew by my running partner and I on Tuesday night doing speed work in High Park. Yesterday we saw the van out and two guys ran by us ... in the snow. Also on plenty of long runs and they tend to be pretty friendly - they'll give us a "hi" on Sunday mornings. They probably wonder why they always see us two girls too.... but maybe not.

Although, I probably couldn't name them or even point to a finishing time for them I am still pretty awe inspired every time.

as I said above, she must have DNS'ed. She was on the start list but didn't run.

One of them was from Winnipeg but he is back home now. He lasted a year there. Apparently there is a lot of drama in that house.

I checked out Lauren's Brooks Blog and this is what I found...
Blog Entry #3

With only two more weeks to go as a BCMP athlete, this will be my last blog entry. On January 16th I am taking off for Sydney, Australia to begin medical school, start working on my tan, and trade in my running shoes for a surf board. Okay I lied about the surf board. I don’t think I could ever give up running – I feel like it is part of my identity – but it’s time for me to work on some of my other goals.

Over the past year, I have been very happy to have had the chance to pursue my running goals as a member of the Project. I am forever indebted to the coaches for all of their support and encouragement, and to Brooks for making this all happen. Although the end results were not what I had hoped, the process of trying to reach for my goals has been extremely rewarding.

In summary, thanks for the bobby-dazzler year. I have been a happy little Vegemite. (Tip: aussieslang.com)

To me it looks like they lost another athlete.
