Excellent work everyone. Thanks for listening and thanks to BMan for suggesting the new ideas....some other forums came up in the process.

I was actually going to suggest a "Masters" section. One thing though-- I REALLY don't like the sub-heading. Please please please don't use that. I do have a sense of humour, but still.... within our nice lilttle Runningmania community as it is now, it's funny, but it's unlikely to get any real attention with a sub-heading like that.

p.s. Jenn- masters are generally 40 and over, although sometimes for women it's 35 and over for some reason.

Jenn
Canadian Master Track and Field Masters are 35 and over for both Men, and Women. It's been this way for quite a few years now. The World Master Indoor Track meet is boing to be in BC in 2010.
I'm not sure what you have against the sub heading name.

Not the name "masters"-- the subheading description.

"A home where crabby old athletes can whine "

I don't like the implication that I'm old. ;)

Ahh...so now the truth comes out

Sheesh...you sound like Mike...he turned 37 yesterday...and he was kind of freaking about that...I had to give him the "everything in life is relative" speech :D

I'll be honest...I just don't have a big issue about being an older runner...let alone older...period.

I guess I'm still in awe that I'm about to turn 56...and still running

OK, the forum is already active, and the sub-heading is there. :( Am I just being crabby and whining?

What about "crabby"?

Seriously, folks! Admin/Mods, great job on running a tight ship. Looking forward to the new format.

I was joking-- I actually have no issue about being old as a runner or otherwise. My young friend teases me all the time about it and I give it right back. :)

I just think that outside our cozy little community, the reference to jo-jo's frequent self-reference of crabby and whiney might be mis-taken.

I'm probably overreacting, but I really would love to see more real masters runners posting there.

Nancy...

I embrace being crabby. Now I have an excuse...I can just say..."I'm older...I'm crabby...you kids ...deal with it"

Thanks to all that made the changes possible. Looks good. I refuse to consider myself a Master, though

Ouch, that's two in a row! Just for that I'm not dancing with you at your wedding!
