Resolution Run
(Thunder Bay, Ontario)

It was the first time it's been held in Thunder Bay (since the RR just opened in August).

The event was 5k or 10k - 1 loop, or 2 loops!

Maximum number of participants was set at 50 - small race!!

The course itself was a loop from the RR through a the industrial/port area of Thunder Bay (very low traffic), but did require us to go up and over two overpasses (the only two in TBay, I think!)...it was an area that I've hardly gone before here! VERY un-scenic. The road wasn't 100% cleared, so, the footing wasn't great, but, with the low traffic, we could run in the middle of the road in the car's tracks where there was some pavement. There was, however, about 1km where we had to run on the sidewalk that wasn't plowed.

The race organization wasn't much! - 6 volunteers - one at each corner, one at the finish line, and the RR manager in the "pace car" driving around encouraging people. The post-race food was yummy - it felt like a Sunday Group Run that started 1.5 hours later though, since there wasn't a clock or a real start line. (unless you count the line drawn through the snow!)
