Re: Sulphur Springs 50 Miler
Thanks everyone. It's been a few days and I'm still pretty sore, though quads are definitely improving. The arm is still pretty sore/swollen and the leg is all kinds of colours/swollen but healing well. I have an appointment with my chiropractor tomorrow and will get her to check it all out. I look...

Re: Replacing Mizuno Wave Elixirs
I was also in the Elixir's, and have been able to use the Kinvara 4's for the same type of running -- I have also used the Ronin's (but the old ones that are unfortunately discontinued as well) -- still available on some websites. I used all of these interchangeably for ultra training (when on road)...

Except that I have another 100-miler planned for Jan, and another for Aug -- I think 3 in that timeframe is enough -- my turn will come!!

WOW -- that is absolutely amazing -- G2G is on my bucket list as well, but I will likely have to wait until I retire (or at least stop adding 100 milers to my roster!! )
Can't wait to follow along with your training!!
Cheers

I have "liked" your page as well, and will do my very best to see you off as well -- hey, depending on the pace you are setting off at, I can perhaps even log a few km with you!

February 2014 Training Goals
February will see me smack in the middle of my 100-miler training, so I should see mileage in the area of 250km -- and I really hope to get some x-training in as well (and yep shed more pounds). All of this in a short month!

Had lost my mojo, and finally got it back in mid-Jan so the month fell short of where I should have been, but at least now I'm "back in the saddle"

Thanks for posting this Laura -- it is very much a mental game, and you NEED to give yourself a serious talking to -- my crew was told that if I had a pulse, they were to keep me out there!! AND I had the most awesome pacers -- the time just flew by, chitchatting and getting to know Robin and ...

Will be running my 2nd 100 miler at Sulphur Springs -- looking to cut 3 hours off last year's time, so I don't think that will be too comfy!!
Also, am hoping to do a Try-a-Tri at the end of the summer -- the swim portion is WAY outside my comfort zone!!
