Re: what do you guys think about...

It looks like RM is still generating some traffic which is more than half the battle. I did a Google search and there are modernized forum platforms out there that integrate with other social media platforms that would help generate more traffic. It's going to take a technological overhaul over word...

Super discipline race by scrumhalfgirl starting the first 5k at 8:27/mile and finishing sub 8:00/mile overall. Impressive!

Re: Steamy Sunday . . .

Negative split my way to a marathon PB today. Passed a lot of people and finished strong. That was fun. Awesome. :D You forgot to say you broke 3:20 and broke a PB from 3.5 years ago--by over a minute!! :) So awesome & inspiring!!! Huge congrats :). You rock!! Way to go ROB! Thanks, ladies!

Re: Shoe Lace Tying... Whaaaat

Do people really tie their shoes that tightly? I like to wear mine loosely, leaving just enough lace to tie double knots.

Gym Thursday

The hardest part getting this morning's run done before work was getting out of bed! 20k w/ 16 at MP. Felt smooth and in control making me think the training effect is kicking .

Re: Finally Friday . . .

I did a 10k run commute this morning. I need to plan better as I ended up running with more than I wanted to in my backpack. It's mostly uphill for the first 6.5k but overall a good run.

I'm sure there are some on here who ran but haven't posted on here so we can imagine this was a success. Unless Habs wants to go out for a quick 41.5?

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA, Saturday

I can contribute 22k. Marathon training has started. I'm jumping into the program near the end of week 7 as I gave myself a bit of recovery from the half marathon last Sunday. I wasn't following a half marathon training program mileage-wise, but I modelled my workouts around the Hanson's program so ...

13.5k with 10k tempo done at lunch. I was looking forward to this run since Monday as the forecast called for cooler temps with rain. They were right! Run felt really good.

5 x 1000. No clunky sounds but a bit of heavy breathing could be heard.

Re: Trail Tuesday

Feeling undertrained as I try to fight off this bug and I haven't run much at all. It was cooler today so did 6x800 to see where I'm at. Still not 100% but today's run shows I'm not too far off track.

Taper Tantrums Friday

I think Habs is likely bouncing off the walls so I'm starting the daily thread in her honour.

I'm coming down with a bad case of the man cold so I haven't run in a few days.

I do apologize for injecting some reality and perspective into this site but I will let you get back to the nice fantasy world where you the little clique of people can tell each other how wonderful they are merely because they run. A vast majority on here are wonderful people. I also speak of thos...
