Don't want to jinx it, but it appears that spring/summer weather may be springing up here, in the Nation's Capital ... :shifty: :wink: Scheduled rest day from running for me today, though did get in my 30 minute workout in the chair this morning at the Club ... I give up! :help: For the past 6 weeks now, I have had a groin muscle pull (of whatever the he.. you call it) Now going to physio for it. I am pretty sure it happened doing stretches. (you know where you put the soles of your feet together while sitting and push down on the knees) guess I pushed too...

Looking good for me so far! Did another 2.15km this morning = 2.75 on Friday.
this morning was done in 23 minutes. Come on speed - I am impatient.... :)

Hi Went out this morning - did 2.61km in 25 mins. Not bad considering the heat, I am still red in the face :) but happy there are no pains at all in my heel. Where is everybody??? Hiding inside in the a/c like me? Asthma and heel acting up keeping me indoors. Went outside this morning for a quick walk around the block and came back in dripping wet! Don't know how all you runners can run in this humidity - YOu are STRONG PEOPLE for sure. Have a great week...

Still trying to get going. have been using the elliptical 4 x a week here but when I walk for any length it starts to ache, Spoke to physio guy and he told me it will take a while but it will get better. I do notice it getting better but I am so scared to re-injure the heel I have been very careful ...

Although I do not ride a bike this made me feel so very sad.
I have just heard on the CTV Montreal News at 6pm
There are now 3 dead and 3 critically injured.
Thoughts and prayers with the families of all six cyclists.

Will try again tomorrow. :( Had a set back. I think I pushed myself too hard with my stretches and it has hurt for a few days.
Feeling pretty good again so will head out tomorrow for a short (2km) walk and will see how it goes. <<sigh>>> getting fed up
just doing minimal stuff.

Second BIG walk.....2.23km in 29mins. getting there - slowly but surely. Stiffness in the ankle area but was advised that this is nothing to worry about and after the walk this morning it seems looser. It may or may not stiffen up tonight but I am prepared. YAY!!! my song......*on the road again...*...

On the road again....

Went for my first *round the block* walk since November!!! Took 13 minutes as I did not want to re-injure myself Physio is done. Shock-wave therapy - *mission accomplished* (so says physio-man) and now just limbering-up the long muscle on the inside of the calf. Just feel out of shape right now :oop...

but with a 94% success rate on Achilles Heel problems.....I was/am willing to try anything.

I hope the healing is quick. Keep us updated. Thanks - I am finished the shockwave therapy - it was brutal!! That is all I can say. This last session has left a bruise on the bump on the side of the heel and I have to let phsyio know end of next week what the pain ratio is. i.e. 30% better or 60% b...
